suggestions welcomed...

i'm trying to decide the look for the cabinet doors in the garage. the design i currently have includes 5/8" plywood, sanded with rounded edges via 1/4" 1/4 round router bit.

everything will be painted with a base white, high gloss enamel. i dont want to add metal to the cabinet faces, but have a logo being routered out to add to each section.

I need your thoughts for the doors. should they have an additional routered bevel inset? maybe a machined micrometer at the top left and bottom right for a border or edge look? give me some ideas.

friday i will have the aluminum for the counter top and hope to install it next week. same thickness as a stop or road sign.

Give some thought to how easy the doors will be to clean.

I admit that I am a poor shop house-keeper, but the dirt from welding, grinding, sweeping, general dust, etc. seems to accumulate on everything over time. If you can't keep the doors clean, they will eventually get to looking pretty grubby.

Have you considered Melamine?
No painting...easy to clean....cut to shape...iron on the edging.....you could go with white doors and use a dark gray or black edge.....

One issue with plywood is that unless you buy the really good stuff, it tends to warp a little....and the routed edge on plywood tends to be a little rough....whereas melamine will stay straighter....as long as you seal the edges....
