I think I have a good deal lined up on this welder (used). Inverter is made in Italy and everything else is made here (USA).

I am not much of a welder but I like TIG welds and want to practice. I also want a capable welder that my more capable welding friends can use when they visit. Since I put heat and A/C in my shop it has become a popular place to do "bench work."

Anyone have any experience with this type of welder? Limitations? Problems? Observations?

I'm personally not a fan of truck brand welders. With that said, Lets see, no AC (so no aluminum welding easily), No HF, that is basically a stick welder that can tig. You will be limited to scratch start, tig welding of steel. Additionally I don't see provisions for remote amperage control. :dunno: Just a heads up depending on what you want to do with it.

Thanks. I know that scratch start is hard on tungsten electrodes. That, combined with the absence of a remote amp control may be a show stopper. Aluminum is not that important but good welds on sheet metal joints is a must.
