Safe to say no heat will be needed for a few months...being this is my first & only gas/lp device. I was just wondering if I could shut the LP Valve at the tank and at the device....I only ask because I know if you "empty your tank" they need to re-do the pressure test...don't want to end up shooting myself in the foot here..but at the same time see no need to keep it all open.

Dave,

I've done it both ways with no noted difference in results. I guess one could argue that you have less leaks if you shut it down in summer but I don't have any leaks anyway so it's a moot point.
