Someone was clearing out a garage and so I picked up two. They both seem to work. I'm not sure if the meters are calibrated, but it seems to function correctly. Is there any reason to select one over the other? Seems the 506 has a higher RPM limit (6,000 on the machine or 12,000 on the engine); xenon vs neon bulb, and the vacuum pump is switched on vs on the 504 it comes on when you turn the motor on. I know the transformer on the 506 is unique to that machine and the bulb is nearly impossible to find if it breaks. I saw one when I was at the Shelby Museum in Colorado. I thought ... that just looks so friggin cool.
