Sun sleuth two, manuals

Hi guy's, New to the garage journal. I've been looking for a service/repair manual for a Sun Sleuth Two engine analyzer. I recently acquired one for myself, but the gentleman I bought it from had none of the manuals for it. Trying to restore it but unfortunatly all the hoses in the back for the gas analyzer have rotted away, and I have no idea where they are suppose to go. This is a great machine to tune those older carburated cars to run perfect. Any ways, saw this sight and decided it's full of people who love everything mechanical. Maybe, just maybe, one of you have one of these tucked away in the corner of your shop with a manual that would be willing to help me???

I contacted Snap-On, and was sent a set of scanned in manual for the SUN Sleuth I & II. I am currently in the process of restoring mine, along with some other SUN Equipment (SUN Master Motor Tester 1940's, and a couple of single units BST-5, VPT-1 and VIT) PM me, and I will send you what I have. (I tried to upload it, but my work computer will not allow it.

I am looking for ANY SUN MANUALS!, I am willing to share, and will post what I have once I get things organized. I am currently redoing all the schematics in the SUN Sleuth manuals. As you will see, the scanned copies are poor at best, but are usable.

Retired friend lost his sight, gave me his old Rotunda Ford machine by Sun. Model 78-0024. Scope plus four displays for vacuum, tach, and two others, plus the many switches and connecting clamps and wires to bring this all together. The thing worked when he retired 10 years ago, and it fits right into my Studebaker hobby. I am restoring it to clean shop condition, and it will be used a lot. However, he loaned the manual to a friend last year, and the friend lost it. All I have been able to find is a 24 page manual on using the scope. Yours to have if you need it. I would dearly like to find a manual for this machine or one like it (Bear had one, too).

I just bought a Sun Sleuth 1 but have none of the Manuals or paperwork that came with the machine. I think it is complete but not sure until I see a cable / attachment list. Can you help me out with your Manuals? I would like to have a copy / scan of the manual if possible. I can pay you for it. You can scan and email to save actual printing if you like. Could you tell me what cables and accessories came with it? I have the timing light and some cables. I have the GM HEI coil adapter. Without the Manual I cannot tell what the cables go to.

I have found a manual for the sun sleuth one but it does not cover the attachment on the lower part of the unit that houses the vacuum gauge and the purpose of the switches on the left of the gauge. Looking for a manual for this. I have enclosed a picture to clarify.

I have 2 Sun Sleuth Ones. Mine do not have the lower box that you have.
If I had to guess that looks like the very beginning of the Sleuth Two.

Hello, I have just got a Sun sleuth two, I have the manual 26 pages please ask and i'll send you a copy, what I need is pictures of the internal hose routing as mine had all disintegrated and dry rotted, any help would be appreciated.
