An analyzer is like the one you linked to. A distributor tester has a motor drive which spins the distributor an flashes the advance when the distributor fires.

I don't believe that Sun made a machine where the distributor tester was incorporated with a scope, but a picture would be nice.

$175 would be a good price for either type of machine if it is in working order.

Great! The manuals alone are good items. Check out the distributor tester for accessories. There were a number of adapters for different distributors and also things like a scale to test point spring tension. One of the point tension tools sold for nearly $100 on Ebay recently.

If you find it has an adapter for flathead Ford distributors I could be interested in the adapter.

The analyzers don't go for all that much, but a working distributor tester does. I paid $300.00 for my 1115 analyzer and only paid that much as it was closer than any other I was able to find.
I would say if both work you hit it big for a deal at that price.
