Holy ****, I have absolutely no need for those and no room for them in my box, but I'm still very tempted. Good deal
Thanks Fedwrench! I just got my set in the mail....veerryy nice and an unbelievable price!! I appreciate the heads up.Neither, you should buy this Gearwrench set from Cripe distributing. At $88 plus shipping, you can't beat the price.

Made in Taiwan. I like the fact that the sizes are stamped as well as "printed" on each piece. While I'd rather have made in the USA tools whenever I can, I doubt I could get the same USA-built tools for less than 5X the price of this set. This is a great value, and by almost all accounts, gearwrench builds a quality product.

What is the COO? I've been eyeing them up but waiting to see COO. Thanks.
Nice looking dog.

Yes, I fell into the same trap! GJ seems to do that to me! Not that I'm really complaining......Damn this place! I wasn't looking for 1/4" impacts, not sure I need 1/4" impacts, and I certainly don't have the room for 1/4" impacts...but that looks like too good a deal to pass up! My GearWrench set is on the way!![]()
I ordered the GEARWRENCH 71 pc set from Cripes..........$88 + UPS ground
(THANKS to Fedwrench)
Is all I can figure out is that they bought some kind of volume closeout deal................or someone made a huge pricing mistake at their website
Otherwise CRIPES has a poor selection at a mediocre web site.......
FYI, I tried to find the GEARWRENCH 84903 at The Tool Warehouse to no avail.
I then spoke with Mel on the phone. They do NOT carry that part #.
Pipsters must have been incorrect in his above post ????????????

Gearwrench stuff was good when they first hit the market, I bought every product they had out back then. But since they've become mainstream their quality has declined a LOT. I'll stick with a product like Sunex that I know for sure is still built to a professional grade.

Here's the Gearwrench set from Cripe equivalent to one that started the thread and it's $34

Shown are my M-18 Milwaukie 1/4" Impact Driver (400inch lbs) and Snap On MG31 3/8 Impact. I show a female/male adapter in the Milwaukie to drive the misc sockets.
Do you know of a better/shorter/stronger set up
What in the world are people using small 1/4" impact sockets on? I can see the swivels, as they are smaller and will fit into small places, in fact I ordered that $34 set. But 71 1/4" impact sockets? Seems like overkill to me, and lots of wasted space in a tool box.

the rumor is the extended warranty companies bought out mitchell-motors - all dataYou got that friggin right. We use Mitchell online for our labor guide, and some of the labor times they give are 1-2 hrs shorter than what the old Mitchell books say for the same exact job. I guess they figure mechanics should make less money for the same amount of work.![]()
