Made in Taiwan. I like the fact that the sizes are stamped as well as "printed" on each piece. While I'd rather have made in the USA tools whenever I can, I doubt I could get the same USA-built tools for less than 5X the price of this set. This is a great value, and by almost all accounts, gearwrench builds a quality product.
EDIT: I just noticed that the swivel sockets are NOT stamped with the size; they only have the "printed" size.

A co-worker of mines dad who is a service tech at a GM dealership recommended Sunex impacts to me so I bought some & although they're 3/8" drive i've been very happy with them.

According to their ebay store description, they buy distressed inventory. They're just picking it up dirt cheap from companies going out of business and flipping it. Gonna add them to my favorites and keep a lookout for a 3/8" and 1/2" socket set.

You guys need to quit broadcasting to the world about Cripedistributing. I share a find with you guys and now cripe's prices are inching up and their selection isn't what it used to be as you guys ****** their tools up.
Granted how really useful is a 1/4 drive impact socket set? A few of the sizes like 7, 8, 10, and 13mm will get used a lot but, some of the set will gather dust. I don't understand how they got so many sets and are selling what other online vendors want $230 for at $88. I'm not complaining, just confused.

Gearwrench stuff was good when they first hit the market, I bought every product they had out back then. But since they've become mainstream their quality has declined a LOT. I'll stick with a product like Sunex that I know for sure is still built to a professional grade.

I think the decline in Gearwrench quality has more to do with shifting production to the PRC than becoming mainstream. Gearwrench's quality is still high in their torque wrenches (US made) and anything from Taiwan such as their impact line but, that's just me.

Mfg in Taiwan, I'm thinking this is quite the value for $88 plus shipping.

Check out the great blow molded case. I plan on laying out in one of my KRL1022 drawers,
however it will take up a lot of valuble space. Many users will have to store case away from their roller cab.

Also thinking about submerging (with small wire strainer) ALL the G.W. pcs in my Gallon supply of Fluid Film (Type A) as a future rust inhibitor.

If you don't have a good set for 1/4 that would give you a complete set... Just because they are impact doesn't mean you can't use them on a ratchet... I have a swivel snap on set and snap on 1/4, but wanted this set for spares and it was cheap... The snap on swivel impact I bought used and paid 250 for it..... Only one was used, but this is a smoking deal for spares and or a complete set if you don't have one.

You got that friggin right. We use Mitchell online for our labor guide, and some of the labor times they give are 1-2 hrs shorter than what the old Mitchell books say for the same exact job. I guess they figure mechanics should make less money for the same amount of work.

I don't know what Cripe's issue is, I ordered mine on 1/28 around 1:00 a.m., I received an email stating that is was shipped on 1/28 around 5:00 p.m. and since then it only says UPS has received the electronic notice that it was going to be shipped. I was hoping to have these for this weekend, I know he blizzard thru a wrench into a lot of shipping, but the storm didn't happen until this week. I emailed them twice, but no response. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they have a pulse, they took the money.

I'm planning on using this set with my Milwaukee M12 1/4" impact driver, together they should make a great little combo for getting in tight places.
