I like the five larger sizes. The 2569 kit I got last year stops at 30

Who has ever used a 25, 26, 29, 31, 34, or 35 mm socket?

I guess if you make it, people will buy it, whether they need it or not.

Like the hex bit sockets that include 9, 11, 13, 15 etc mm sockets. I've never, ever seen a socket head cap screw or set screw that used those sizes. But they make the sockets anyway

Alot of people. Heavy equipment type stuff. I use those sizes on my dump trucks.

I highly doubt it. Most likely those are inch sizes that you are trying to use metric sockets on.

I've seen 24, 27, 32, and 36 mm bolt heads. The rest are just "filling the pegs".

33mm is used on truck lug nuts, but 1-5/16 works just as well.

This is an exceptional set - I picked it up for a little cheaper last time it went on sale but for the price, you'ld have to be a lunatic not get this.

I find the smaller sizes more ironic than the larger.

1/2" drive for a 10mm?

This is a great set. A friend of mine owed me some money so I had him buy it for me. I think it was $80 shipped at the time. I've need a new 36mm though as I used it to beat a wheel hub out of a spindle on my ram 1500. I'll prolly never need it anyways but it's really not in bad shape just can't get a ratchet on it.

Dodge front axle nut is 43mm. Super odd size. All it takes is one use of an odd size one from a set like this and it's paid for all the others, so it's totally worth it at this price.

Wow this is a first. Complaining about a set coming with too many sizes.. Sure many of the sizes don't fit current standards but look at it as future proofing. If I had a complaint it would be about the small sizes I'll never use a 10mm 1/2" drive especially on an impact.
I have this set the smallest I used in 14

The other thing I like about this set is the case is strong and doesn't take up too much space in my box. I take the box, impact and ratchet with me so I can use my impact on the larger bolts and use a ratchet and the smaller sockets in smaller bolts. Less trips to the tool box and I don't have so many tools to put away in the end

Is that a 51st state that I don't know about?

LOL,

Are you just pissed because Sunex makes a product that does the same exact thing as the truck brand products you and Union Mike spend half their paychecks on every month?

Sunex kicks *** for the money. One of the best deals going in the tool world. Anyone that has a hang up about spending hard earned money for a quality product deserves to get bent over by the Snap On man in the back of the **** van, I mean tool truck.

I'm sure it takes off nuts and bolts just fine. But don't tell me it does the same thing. It doesn't support American manufacturing or the US economy.

But that's not even the point. Why pay more money for a bunch of sizes you will never use? I'm sure everyone here will tell me they use a 29mm socket 12 hours a day, but I've never wanted one.

Ok, so the point is NOT the whole support American economy thing, its paying more for sizes you don't need that's got you all chafed, right?

Monte, are you aware that if you go to the Sunex website, they have smaller sets in more popular sizes there?

If anyone is ready to throw away their Sunex impacts as they're so "bad" or the "wrong sizes" . . . . then I'll give an address to ship them to !!! :D . . ;)

Thanks for posting OP . . . can't have too many quality impact sockets. That little Sunex set would still leave lots of pegs open in Hansen socket rail set !! :bounce:

9mm hex bit? Ford Escape 08-12 brake caliper slide pins. There is a few of them out there...

I'd buy the set. For that Saturday night, three years down the road, at about 10 pm at night when you find out that you need a oddball socket, and every brick and mortar store is closed. 1 use is use enough.
