Buy Sunex impact SOCKETS, but buy Aircat impact DRIVERS. Trust me.

And I own a Nitrocat 1/2" impact.

I own a nitrocat, its great for the money, and very quiet. Its about $25 more than the 1000th you have linked.

I also have this setup air cat gun/ sunex impact sockets

I don't own a sunex but I can comment on the aircat 1000th. I own it Its definitely not anywhere near the torque rating they claim. Its still good though I tested against my friends snap on mg725 and it definitely keeps up. The torque rating might be before they put the muffler on. It is very quiet though. The muffler restricts alot of power( i put a muffler on my mg31 and immediately removed it because of masssive reduction in torque) . Ask anyone thats ever put a muffler on their Snap On MG series guns; the difference is night and day.

Aircat. I bought an AIRCAT 1100-K this month. It has alot of balls tightening down 1-1/8" bolts and nuts. I use it with s-k and snap-on impact sockets.

Aircat, hands down. I've owned some Sunex impact stuff after purchasing some of their sockets I really liked, and I was not impressed. Their 1/2" gun isn't even as strong as my 2115ti Ingersol 3/8".

I know I have had a great experience with mine. I wouldn't wan't to even try that sunex for a couple reasons. Number 1, it doesn't look like it's going to be as comfortable to use. very bulky, and most of the mass is further above your wrist than the aircat which might take a little more to balance. Just a guess. Number 2, the thumb reverse of the aircat is very nice, and I prefer this style to the sunex front-back style.

Thanks for the response! Haven't bought one yet, but it seems aircat's durability is being questioned latley. So I'm still not sold on aircat or sunex for that matter, but they are in my price range.

I'm looking at a new 1/2" gun too. Picked up an IR 2115Ti 3/8" at the local pawn shop for $50 and love the thing, thinking about the 2135Ti. This aircat looks like a good gun too. Local craigslist has some MG725 Snap-on's for reasonable prices too. How's the Aircat stack up to the IR and Snap-on?

I haven't used a sunex gun but the ones on the tool truck look and feel real real cheap and cost almost as mutch as a IR I have a 3/8 Aircat 1300-TH and like it alot it is strong light and real quiet I have used it almost everyday since March and as far it has been great the trigger is not as sensitive as I would perfer though. I kind of wish I had got the IR.

I think so I'm not shure of the noumber. I have just looked at them on the truck it was a 1/2 inch black with red foreward reverse seletor I'm in NB Canada and their is not a whole lot of price difference between a sunnex gun and a IR I'm not shure abought what a 1/2 Air Cat is worth but between the sunnex and the Air Cat I would go with the Air Cat.
