im in the market for a stubby wrench set, they dont get used often and i dont need tool truck quality. which would be a better buy, they are both equally priced, looking for metric and SAE.

im leaning towards craftsman, just because it will match the rest of my wrenches and they are offset, where the sunex are not but the sunex would have a 1in stubby.... not sure where id ever use that :lol_hitti

Sunex, pretty sure those cman ones are crab claws, I remember seeing a post a while back that showed that crabclaw affects the pro ones too.

I have the craftsman ones and cant complain one bit. Once I bought a set from harbor freight as a sacrificial set to try and grind down really thin for access to a hard to reach bolt. I went through an entire disc and barley dinged it so I was impressed with them as as well. The Craftsman ones are definitely thinner and lower profile.

IF those Craftsmans are still American, that's a great deal.

I kind of doubt they are though

been using my sunex professionally for 3+ years now! I swear by them and have guys at my shop using them all the time because they are awesome. Good metal and fit and finish is on point. I'd give both the standard and metric sets 5stars

Use my Sunex professionally, have both SAE and Metric. They bite pretty well, and I know I've blatantly abused a few metric sizes, with no problems thus far.

Sunex, overall, is a pretty impressive brand.

thefoobag or 2ndGearRubber,

Is the box end offset from the wrench body on those Sunex stubbies? If yes, approximately how much?

There is no information on the Sunex website or in its downloadable catalog.

Thanks,

Dave
