Sunex Pit Pro Impact Sockets

Anyone heard of these? I did some research, but couldn't find anything on them. They are CR-MO and have a non slip design "Ideal for driving worn fasteners that are up to 70 Percent rounded." They go for $50 plus shipping on Cripedistributing and $52.50 plus $12.99 on Amazon, but I found a set for $20 on Amazon Prime and my addiction won. Shoot, for that price how could I say no? The 10 piece set from HF is $33 alone. At least I know these are made by Sunex.

Soooo, anyone ever use them before?

What exactly does the non slip design mean? I haven't seen a single new socket that isn't radius ground, so is that what they are referring to?

I don't know. There was one set listed for $20 so I said what the hell. I'm assuming the "non slip design" is their version of flank drive. Either way, if they are indeed Sunex, they're gonna be just fine.

Google shows that Pit Pro is a trade name that Sunex applies to entire product lines, not just sockets. Think Apex and Gearwrench, or Craftsman and Evolve.

Well I got the sockets from Amazon Prime in just two days as promised. They came in a nice plastic case, but with those cheap, crappy snap tabs. The sockets themselves are decent. They are the glossy black cromo finish. The broaches are only the top 1/4 of the socket, but the interesting thing is they have "teeth" on three of the hex flats. That must be their "non slip design" feature. I just finished a looong day of work, so couldn't test them out, but will asap. Here's a pic of the non slip design.

Update- they do have engravings. I grabbed the 1" for the pic and didn't see the tiny 1" engraved in it.

Not sure why they are designed like that. Just for fun I removed some of the bolts on my pintle hitch today with the 3/4" socket. The bolts are a bit rusted so I could see where the sockets bit and it was at the corners. I did not see any "teeth" marks from the non slip design in the flats though.
