Sunroom heater

Hey fellas!

I have a heater in my sunroom that's in the middle of the back wall which means there's almost no way to put a couch without putting it over the heater. Anyone have an idea on like how make some vent so it runs under the couch?? Or maybe get a few pallets to raise the couch?? I'm at a loss here..

Unfortunately, I think if you want to put the couch there, you'll have to come up with a different location for the heater or a different heating solution.

You could install a ceiling mounted heater, that way you wouldn't lose precious wall space.

Fellas. I'm trying to not move it. I think I will take the frame off and make some duct work and rigg the **** outta it. I mean.. the house is insured hahaha I live in Canada and winter is going to hit soon and with my job I have maybe 7 free days before the snow falls. In that time I have more pressing outside work to be done.

Have central air. It's enough for the summer, winter gets a tad too chilly. There's one vent from the furnace but doesn't do much at -40c. also have one of them fireplace heaters that help but not in the dead of winter. Money is tight and a mini split is out of the budget. I know that moving it and what not would be best. That's not an option right now.

seriously, by time you rig up ductwork etc you could move the heater a few feet

It would be more work to move it. Have to crawl under the sunroom and run a longer wire or put in a junction box and add a few feet then drill a new hole then I have to patch the old hole so no critters or snow gets in.

He was hoping someone had a better idea. Like raise the couch up. Slide couch over heater. Build staircase to get on couch. Than let feet dangle down and stay warm on those cold Canadian nights with the heater Warming said Couch.

That type of heated can also be mounted vertically, which will free up a few inches on the left side. Maybe there is some extra length of wiring in the stud cavity. The thermostat control needs to be on top.
