So i hired a contractor to enclose a porch under a screen room. Said contractor promptly went out of business after framing the walls and "drying in".
Currently interviewing contractors to take over, however it has become clear that said previous contractor was not good and there is water getting into the sunroom - a rather significant amount, The screen room has a plywood/ mdf floor with indoor out door carpet. This floor has been repaired before (prior to my ownership which is why i think it is 2 materials.
The eventual plan is to enclose the upper screen room similar to the lower, but this is down the road consequently need to "waterproof" the screen room. One contractor is suggesting what i basically understand to be roll roofing under a new subfloor with a floating floor above.
Someone with experience care to offer any opinions here?
