Anybody familiar with the SunTouch heating pads?

Watched several videos and they always caution about cutting the wires with the trough. So instead of taking a chance at doing that I applied the thin set directly to the back of the tile and placed them onto the matt.
I done this Friday and haven't been back to check on it yet, didn't screw up did I?

You want to bury the wires in thinset. SunTouch wants those wires to be completely covered before you lay tile on them. It says in my Technical points "The wires must be encapsulated in thinset or self-leveler." I took two classes from them to learn how to lay their product the way they want it laid.

needs to be fully covered with thinset, then set your tiles as you would have on a regular subfloor.

I don't know how the hell I missed that. Well the tiles are secure and i'm not pulling them, so if it doesn't work well i'll have to bite the bullet and put in an under floor system. Thanks for responding, if I drank i'd get drunk right now.

Installed over 750 sqft between kitchen and baths. Love love it. I covered in thinset then set tiles on top. Works great and gets to 109 in a heartbeat...90 is too hot! Install an air and floor sensing thermostat and an extra temperature probe closest to the north most exterior wall.
