K I searched the forum and read through the threads and the 2 places everyone said it was available was HF and HD. At HF they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for it and pretty much the same at HD but they did say they sold it "online only." Anymore places that might have it?

HF always has it with the grease, body filler and stuff like that. It is hanging on a wall peg at my local store.

At HF they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked.....

No worries, that's the look they give when you ask ANY question. In fact, I believe it may be store policy.

i have a brand new tube with a just few smears out of it. don't waste time putting it in a ratchet. use rll, it works better in most ratchets. not all but most

Like others have said it's in the grease gun/locktite areas. I called up to see if they had it before ordering elsewhere online awhile ago. When I asked, they laughed among themselves and said no.

i would have to disagree that RLL is better in MOST ratchets.. i would say the opposite, only because MOST ratchets are not sealed, and RLL leaks out of them pretty quickly, and is messy as hell.

superlube is absolutely great for pretty much any coarse tooth ratchet, sealed or not. it smooths them out by "ramping" the pawl over the gear teeth a bit more than lighter oils

from my experience, RLL shines in some fine tooth mechanisms that choke up on the thicker superlube, and sealed ratchets. superlube can be used in the fine tooth mechs too, but you have to use considerably less than your average ratchet.

TwoInch, I don't agree. They also have SL with Silicone too and w/o anything added.

sorry, most of their products have PTFE, and its their claim to fame. they have a couple application specific lubricants without PTFE in them. the silicone grease has PTFE, the silicone brake lube doesnt.

an another note, you will be hard pressed to find any other superlube product in a store, besides the multipurpose PTFE grease that we all use regularly. after looking at a couple MSDS sheets on their products, seems many have considerable mineral oil content, which i didnt expect.
