If they were available, you'd be better off buying $200 bucks worth of 3M N95 disposable respirators and a pair of splash proof sealed googles. (for Coronavirus anyway, which I assume is why you're looking at respirators in the first place? If not, disregard.)

Paint,, Isos

$200.00 for a complete supplied air system,, why spend 500-600 on a hobby air?

???

I still don't see what could go wrong ? Maybe I don't understand some insider things ....

It's a fresh air delivery unit not advertised as zombie virus fighting apparatus. Funny it mention quality of the hose, and mask , nothing mention of the pump.. from recent thread about oils in the compressed air.. other than that.. I don't see what could go wrong... instruction says to place the pump unit in class "d" breathable air......

The description is well written.

How poison the body of the ring body every day? Supplied fresh air respirator system with long air hose mainly overcome the problems of big air intaking resistance, difficulties in breathing and so on. This system use the air pump to transport the air to the mask.

It is suitable for workers in chemical, shipbuilding, petroleum, pharmaceutical, gas, oil storage, laboratories, underground construction, overhaul towers, etc. to prevent inhalation of harmful substances such as harmful gases, dust and smoke. Use respiratory protection to avoid damage to the human body caused by toxic and harmful substances in the environment.

As an consultant in the OSHA space, I wouldn’t be able to contain my contempt for an employer who purchased that for employees.

The unit may work fine for a hobbyist, but I wouldn’t trust my lungs to it. My biggest concern with that unit would be the quality of the pump to ensure there is no hydrocarbons or other contaminants introduced to the air stream by cheap construction. My second concern would be durability of the hose, most commercial supplied air systems have a rigid hose that can take some mild abuse, this unit looks like the hose could be torn by hand. Without having the technical specs I can’t make a comprehensive assessment.

I have little patience for employers who cheap out on PPE at the cost of the employee’s health.

Ahh it is you trying to rig up some fake *** breathing rig...stop this madness.

Me... not me... I am not the seller or interested buyer atm.. no need for one... I did look at the Eastwood HobbyAir units for a while, but no need now.. I just find these posting couldn't explain whats wrong with it... other than COO claims..

I wouldn't expect this to have a pump. It is probably a multi-stage centrifugal fan. You could determine the likelyhood of contamination by inspection.

In my searching for a "fresh air supplied system" I have noticed there are systems that have "pumps, typically rotary vane pumps.
Then there are "Fan" pumps.
Is the hobby air a fan?
I see that the Allegro units are rotary vane pumps.
Also the true pumps are twice the price.
