Does anyone have experience using supratile? It looks very nice and I like their leather finish. It doesn't need to be glued down and is somewhat flexible.

The only concern I have is tire staining and imprints from a 4 post lift.

I would appreciate any comments if you have used it.

Thanks,

Lou

Hi,
Certain tire compounds can mark the tiles, so we recommend either dark gray or black under the tire area (the black looks great in a garage). We fully disclose this on our website.

Our customers with lifts usually trim around the lift posts but there is no reason you can't place a lift on the tiles. We have displayed 80,000 lb firefighter ladder trucks at trade shows on Supratile floors with only slight indentation which disappeared overnight.

The nice things about a floating tile floor is that in the unlikely event of a tile getting damaged you can just pop it out and replace it in minutes. Fixing an epoxy floor is more difficult and often shades may not match. Porcelain is even harder to repair easily.

All flooring choices have pros and cons, that's why we offer a full array of coatings, tiles an mats.

One last comment us that we would recommend the Textured full joint style rather than the overlapping Hidden Joint for garages for the reason that the hidden joint which is really 1/2 male x female overlapping is not as tolerant to temperature swings so adhesive may be needed for the core of the floor. If you go the Hidden joint rote, we suggest living with it, and if adhesive is required, it can always be added later on.

Lots of great ideas and advice here on the Forum with excellent suppliers all offering good advice and tips.

No reported issues with common auto fluids. Pm us your email address and we will send you a bunch of photos from installed projects.

The tiles are used in hundreds of firehouses across the US, and fire trucks since they are so expensive, and kept for many years before replacement, are notorious for leaking oil and fluids all of the time. We have had no complaints of any issues that couldn't easily be cleaned up. See www.armor-tuff.com which is our Firehouse Division website.

Thanks!

Give them a call, get four samples, park on them, spill on them, etc.

Hi
Attached is a photo of the 80,000 lb ladder truck on the outrigger pads showing that the SupraTile can hold the weight. The truck was 'up' on the pads, taking the load off the tires.

We also attached some other photos showing them in use, including one with a large aircraft on it.
