I have the brass version of the sure shot...but only had it 1 yr. No complaints except that my compressor only goes to 125 psi, so I can't max out the operating pressure of the sure shot. That means I have to go back and refill with air before the can is empty of whatever liquids I have in it. I've had no issues with it...though that's admittedly short term use.

Have had three of them for several years and wouldn't buy anything else. Just remove the stupid atomiser/mist valve from the spray head and they will give you a nice shot of whatever you are spraying.

I had one many years ago, but left something in it that ate up the tank badly and ended up tossing it because it kept clogging after that.

I worked in the maintenance dept of a Federal Mogul seal plant for years. We had hundreds of the nickel plated brass ones for mold release. They were used 24 hours a day 5 days a week spraying molds every 5 to 15 minutes. I was always impressed how well they held up. For the average mechanic they should last a lifetime.

Get the real one not the knock off

We use the nickle plated brass ones at work with brake cleaner at the Nissan dealer where I work the are very rugged and may guys have had them for 20+ years, plus you can get rebuild kits for them.

I got a brass one for a tailgating team, they used low pressure and filled with different adult beverages to give "shots" out during events:beer::thumbup:

They work great. I have two of the chrome ones at my home shop for brake cleaner and they are a lot more economical than aerosol cans. I use the **** out of mine.

We switched over to them at work about ten years ago because the mechanics in our shop were going through aerosol cans of brake wash like water. I was so impressed with how they worked I started using them at my home shop and have been using them ever since. I actually just had to rebuild my one at work the other day. It is nice to have rebuild kits available so you don't have to replace the complete sprayer. Throw a kit in it and ready for another ten years hopefully.

At work I use the Sure Shot. Dropped it several times and the only damage has been to the spray nozzel. I see a few other techs have the knock off version. I would choose the sure shot version.

I bought 2 of the atomizers....
one is still sitting new in the box.

the other, well, due to the visosity of what I wanted to use it for, it was pretty much bunk.....

does someone have a picture of the sureshot next to a can of brake clean? I am trying to figure out the size of this thing... says it holds 32oz, which I'm thinking is quite a bit from the cans they sell in the store, but I don't want something that is going to be unwieldy to use in a way... Just looking for something for size comparison.

So just to make sure, when using brake clean you want this one:

Thanks,
