surface mount "can" fixture

Has anyone seen a surface mount "can" fixture? I've seen them years ago but have been searching for them with no luck except large commerical applications.

Halo used to have them, not sure if still avail. anymore.

A friend just had some 'can' lights installed in a ceiling with little space above. They were LED lights that used the electrical box as the mount and were flush with the ceiling. Total light was only 1 1/2" tall. I was impressed.

I too remembered seeing similar fixtures, but had a hard time finding the right terms to find them in a search.
