Acquired a cast iron surface plate,12x12 inch recently scraped and flaked.
I like the capacity to set a magnet indicator base on the surface plate when using it.
The guy I bought it from has a shop that looks more like a meticulously maintained machinist museum.
I’ve bought things from him before and have every reason to believe it’s flat as he said it was.I haven’t indicated it yet but I will soon enough.
