I am prepping my floor of my NEW 60 x 40 shop for epoxy coating. The concrete has cured for past 8 months Arizona. I just finished filling the saw cut joints with Legacy Industrial Xtreme Set100. I then smoothed out the joint with a 7" 24 segment grinding wheel. It left surface scratches and grind marks in the concrete. Im concerned they will show thru the epoxy coating. It will be a two coat system. The Epoxy Im using is from Cohills, its the Pro Series Expoxy 2500, 61-63% solids by volume.
Im going to surface grind the entire 2400 sq ft floor with an EDCO Dual Disk grinder. What grit would you recommend ? the Rental company offers three grits, course, medium and fine. I was planning on the fine grit.

Questions 1. will the floor grinder smooth out the grinding marks ?
2. will the epoxy fill / cover any remaining marks ?

Desire is to have a very smooth finish with little to no surface marks.
