how do you guys deal with surface rust?
I am getting surface rust around my headlights and lower front of my ride.

I was thinking of sandblasting then naval gelly or POR15.

any thoughts on this?

I used it just today, on a small trailer re-build. A 30% solution of phosphoric acid, leave overnight, wash off tomorrow, let dry, then two coats of paint - I might do the first coat zinc primer, just for belt and braces.
I did another trailer frame with this method four years ago, it was rusty as hell, been sitting outside since and not a trace of rust has re-appeared.
