Any surfers or SUPers in the house?

With the huge popularity of stand up around the world, many must have the same problem as I. How do you store these ****** things in the carport?

I plan on using a pulley system lift and store 3-4 boards. Any pictures out there which have similar set up?

Thanks in advance.

Below is how I hung 9 longboards (w/ a few shortboards on top) in a two car garage.. Essentially it is two long metal pipes (~8 ft.) wrapped in foam padding, with holes drilled in the ends for the simple chain, which is attached to the ceiling (studs).

Sorry for the poor pictures, just ran down stairs to snap them.

Looks sweet and simple.

With the chains hanging, it's alot more flexible to go in nose first then hang the tail end. And you look like you can hug the ceiling pretty good (as high as your longest fin). With it being 8' long or longer it has lots of room to put fishing poles whatever. The key is that the chain dangles making loading a huge SUP board easier to do than on a solid rack.
You know what? I'm just gonna do your set up before I do fancy pulley system. Just few lengths of 1/2'' conduit, pipe insulation, eye bolts, chain...PAU!

Nice!

I only have a 9'0" Epoxy Santa Cruz and an Al Merrick Water Hog 7'6"

I store them on the wall with large Hose Hooks or just off of a Nail in their respective Surfboard Bags.

Kind of like this setup I use to store my Snowboards...
