Went by an electronics surplus store today. They've been diversifying and have added tools and all sorts of non-electronic stuff.
Found this 14" 1/4" drive extension today. Couldn't make out the name, but it looked like "Sandvik Germany" Chrome was superb, fitment was nice, rolled evenly on the counter - so no bends. Popped a 1/4" socket on it to make sure it wasn't an odd metric size. Marked Germany so I figured it was worth the $4.

Didn't know Sandvik made drive tool accessories. Aren't they the Swedish company that makes those nice hack saws?

They are Swedish and their primarily known for their carbide inserts for lathes and milling cutters. Considered among the best along with Kennametal.

It's the same Sandvik, the Swedish steel manufacturer. That's a high quality tool and well worth what you paid!

Sandvik Belzer was the result of Sandvik buying the German tool manufacturer Belzer. The tools are basically what Belzer produced before the merger but with Sandvik added to the markings. Almost all of the patterns were switched to Bahco later after Sandvik merged with Bahco and made them their tool brand. And then Bahco was sold to Snap-On to form SNA Europe.
