Surprise at Ace today

So, I’ve an old beat up craftsman flex head, USA made, but with a plastic selector lever. The store had no repair kits and this was rough, so I swallowed the bullet and swaped it.

I didn’t realize until I got home that this has a metal sector switch. Are all the Chinese raised panel wrenches getting this treatment?

Yes, as do the Asian made repair kits for the USA made raised panel ratchets.

Last time I was in an Ace with a ratchet they insisted I couldn't get repair kits for my old us made stiff, I've not gone back go that one.
