Surprise gift for helping a friend

About six years ago, a friend asked if I would help clean her father's stuff out of the basement. He had passed on years earlier. He was an engineer by profession as well as a hobbyist auto mechanic & machinist. His kids didn't want some of the tools. As payment for hauling stuff out of the basement, I got what they didn't want.

That's pretty cool. The Craftsman 9/16" wrench is for use on automotive distributors.

Yep, handy tool to have around. So much so that if you're interested in selling it, I'm interested in buying it.

In your first picture, that odd shaped wrench with the V jaws ........ what the heck is it for?

I think I need one.

It's an alligator wrench. Used for the old square nuts like found on horse drawn wagons. Sorta a vintage multitool.

Thanks for identifying some of that stuff for me. There's more stuff at my parents' place that I just don't have room for. A bench grinder, a couple of small toolboxes, and some Asian import stuff. They also gave me a really fantastic snare drum.
