surprise inspection time

Here's my new garage. I just bought the house and moved in a couple weeks ago - hence the racks of boxes in the back. The garage needs some work - all the sill boards should be replaced, I'll need to make new garage doors, needs electrical, needs sheetrocked, etc etc etc but the important thing is that it's actually here. I live in the Portland inner city and regulations are such here that it's basically impossible to build a new garage, let alone a 3-car sited right on the property line! anyway the pics:

What are the dimensions? Yours is similar to mine with the dual carriage doors. What are you planning to do with the doors?

Great. Why do these inspections always happen when my pants are down? Snapped a picture of this yesterday before our weekend work began. It's a total mess in there right now, but for a good reason... I think.

When I do get it sorted I am going to have to figure out the best way to fix the floor.

TRC the good news is mine was actually MUCH MUCH worse . I still have a long way to go to be organised but hey theres actually a 4 door blazer in my garage now and its not burried . Heres where I started which was plain skeery.

I see a few folks must have gotten the gladiator wall cabinets when they were on the clearance sale. I tried at my local Houston stores, but they were all cleaned out. Of course I see them pop up on Craigslist from time to time for full price or better. To them I say "Good Luck" selling them.

Brad, that is one of the best Man Spaces I have seen.... I am dying to get my garage together. Who did the floor in there?... All I have in my garage is 3 Harleys... the cars and Jeep are parked outside, this is what I am envisioning my garage space to turn out like.

it's 25' deep by 35' long and about 10' high. I'm still undecided on what I'm going to do with the doors. Thinking about a sliding bard door on the far left, and carraige doors on the right. I'll probably just make some up out of good birch ply if I go that route.

I have been trying to figure out for years where everybody on here is keeping all their ( stuff ) . I was quite sure I wasnt the only one with a 2 car garage with a 4 car garage amount of **** in it .

That's a big 10-4. I also have a shed - and for 10 lbs of stuff in a 5 lb bag, I should post pictures of the garage attic...

I don't have a basement and sheds aren't allowed in my neighborhood, so everything gets stored in the garage (good stuff right next to ****). I need to work on my attic storage.

A few boards would go a long way up there… potentially doubling my storage and allowing me to put junk and lesser used items up there and keep the good stuff and commonly used stuff down.

One nice thing about the garage is there is always something to do, just a matter of deciding what to do next. It will never be done!

To make progress on the 72 Corvette, I had to bring a lot of the tagged and bagged stuff down from the attic.

Note: that Whole Wallet food store bag didn't come from the store -- it came with a treasure my wife found at a local thrift store.

Before I can get back to work on the car, this has to be straightened up.

The "EastView" is my 14 year old's work bench.. mine isn't much better. If I could remove the motor cycles and engines I would be much better off. 30 x 40 shop in the planning stages to get me out of this situation... I hope.

For now the 85 Mustang SVO, 88 Turbocoupe and son's 91 Mustang GT have to live outside.

At least she managed to finish the Mustang before moving on to something else !!!

Quite a bit - fuel system, final wiring, pads on a narrower rear housing, clutch disc, bracket for slave on hydro clutch on a 3550, assemble engine (347 w/Twisted heads, roller cam, stock block), MSD wire in, all interior stuff, and on an on . I've spent all my time on an 85 Mustang SVO this year so the 69 has just sat. Got to get cranked back on it this winter though. I can't find that thread and have been looking all day. The members here posted pictures of their garages clean, and in action. And if i remember right there was a garage with blue cabinets and a jeep getting torn apart. Any help?
