Just when I was bored to death today, someone put an ad on local Craigslist for some SK tools. Quite a lot of stuff for $30. So I picked them up pronto.

Here are the wrenches. They were covered in dirt and crud and grease when I first saw them. So I was not sure about the deal. I only started to cheer up after I cleaned up a couple of them. They are gently used tools. Definitely used. But it seems they got most dings from banging against each other. 8mm-22mm, only skipping 20mm. Since these are used tools and probably no collectible value. I guess I am going to actually use them. So I am not going to get the useless 20mm anyway.

Here are the pictures.

One nice thing is that they stack up pretty well together. Space saving.

I went to eBay and I noticed that most of the SK tools sold there are slightly different from mine. The font, especially the numerical part looks different. Does anyone know the fine difference? Since they all have the same part number, it is very hard to tell roughly when these are made and sold. Thanks.

Wow, nice find! My local Craigslist is just pawn shops selling beat to death stolen tools at retail prices.

I usually see a bunch of cordless tools listed *new in box, sure buddy. Where all the POS that walk into Homedepot/Lowes to steal power tools, to list their 5 finger discounts.

I really hate craigslist these days, especially when looking for used vehicles. Even when searching under (owner) vehicles I still get a long list of dealer listed cars or completely irrelevant vehicles to my search.

I'd say you did mighty good for just $30!

Driving around cost me another $12 in gas ... But there are some additional stuff for the $42 I spent.

There's a socket set.

SK 4521? Nope. The seller put a lot of metric sockets into a box for inch tools. I didn't figure this out until I returned. Well, win some, lose some.

Overall, the coverage is okay. Shallow 8-19mm, missing 13mm. Deep 10-19mm, missing 11 and 12mm.

The surprise is this shortie extension 1.5 inches. I don't remember I have one. Might be useful later.

Really? I thought it is one of the round head ones. What is the difference? Thanks. Need to do more investigation now.

Yes. Great Score

I love the feel of polished wrenches and those S-K's of yours just ooze quality

I have a set of JC Penney SAE polished combo wrenches (said to have been made by S-K) and I like them so much
that I have moved them into first place, ahead of my Snappys
