They tell me there is a first for everything and today is no exception; I am just not sure if the following wrench is vintage or not
I can find a lot of information about the Swagelok company on the Web; but when I type in the wrench ID #'s (TW-46) I get no hits and the wrench reads Pat Pending so without a number I am a little in the Dark. My gut instinct tells me it is old just how old I am not sure?
This is where you smart young computer hacker types try your luck at the Pat search and maybe someone will get a hit and find a date when it was made.
This is what I know the Swagelok Co was founded in my home state of Ohio back in 1947 by Fred A. Lennon. They make among other things Valves, Gauges, fittings, regulators, tubing, Swagelok nuts and many other products.
The wrench is made to fit those special fittings as it is marked on one side with the # 4 and the other side with a #6. The one thing that I found out about the company was their revenue from back in 2011, was 1.8 billion dollars so they must be doing something right for all these many years.
I will leave you with some pictures along with some company information, please if I messed up and the wrench is not vintage , please feel free to move it to the general tool section whereby it will be lost to some craftsman china posts (gallows humor).

PS: Maybe one day in the future if someone finds other Swagelok wrenches this post will help them out.
