I can't find them of Lowes website and I don't know if it is nationwide, but........

Swanson 48" Professional magnetic level BBL48M (sku 123875) normally $54.98 is on clearance for $13.74

Swanson 24" Professional magnetic level BBL24M (sku 123874) normally $39.** is on clearance for $9.99

Toolking has the 48" for $60 and the 24" for $40.
Sears has the 48" for $70 :shocking: and the 24" for $50 :shocking:

These are heavy duty levels and are WAY better than any Stanley or Bostich level and these prices are outstanding.

I am partial to Empire Level over swanson, especially since many of Empires products are still made here in the US. However... at the prices the op listed that's a great deal. Time to ****** some up :)

I'm pretty sure the newer empire levels are no longer made in the US. The ones I saw at home depot wee made in either china or Taiwan with vials made from the US.

No, certain levels are made in the USA and some are made in china/Taiwan. The blue vials are all made in the USA to my knowledge. Unless something has changed very recently I can tell you that many levels are still made in the USA.

Yeah, it was the blue ones. I know my 96" was made in the USA when I bought it 2 years ago, but the most recent ones were imported with US vials. I was considering to"upgrade" my 48" a couple months ago and was surprised by it too.

Go one of the 48" ones. Lowes in Portage, MI has them. 1 of the 48" left...couple of the 24".

Tried to talk a guy out of getting a 9.** JobSmart one and to pay 4 bucks extra to get a much nicer level.......he didnt spring for it. Get what you pay for I guess.

Kinda confuddled about why the 48" is marked down lower than the 24"..but I not gonna let that bother me!

Yes, in my case they both had yellow stickers with the original prices. You could always ask them to price check?

48" is $38 and the 24" is $28 at the store in Carol Stream, Il. Only one of each on the shelf and I had the cashier scan them.

Checked Lowe's again today. The mgr of the department said they marked down the 24" levels yesterday and they went out the door really fast. They had no 48" levels to offer.

But... I found one 48" BBL48M level on the rack even though their inventory said they had a qty of -1. So they didn't even know they had it. I chatted with the guy for a while who called the store mgr over who said he will take no less than $25 for it. That's not as good as $13.99 but a good deal nonetheless, especially after my 5% discount for using the Lowe's card. So I did get the 4' level which will come in handy when I build a new deck and screened porch in the spring.

I bet if they had adjusted their inventory to +1 it would have popped up at the sale price.

The 48" in Hadley, MA was marked at $13 and change, the 24" was $20-something.

The 48" felt pretty nice, but I just couldn't pull the trigger on it because of personal COO preferences. It seems like a screaming deal at $13, though.

Picked up two of the 24" Professional levels for $9.99 each. Too late for Christmas but will put them away for our sons. The 48" was marked down to $38 and came up the same at the register.

Thanks for the heads up.

Stopped by one of my local Lowes stores today and and I found them but they weren't marked down on the hook yet. Took them to get them priced checked and sure enough, the 48 inch one came in at 13.74 and the 24 came in at 9.99. I bought two sets, and they only had 2 48 inch ones left.

From original post:

Swanson 48" Professional magnetic level BBL48M (sku 123875) normally $54.98 is on clearance for $13.74

Swanson 24" Professional magnetic level BBL24M (sku 123874) normally $39.** is on clearance for $9.99

As shown in photos, the packaging for 24" varies. Both 24" and 48" were in the back of the display and it was difficult to see the "Professional" labelling.
