I just picked one of the 48" Professional Magnetic Yellow Swanson Levels for $13.74. They also had the matching 24" for more $. They also had a 48" blue and silver non-magnetic heavy duty Swanson level on clearance marked down to $8.74 from like $35 reg. price. Thanks for the deal!

Found 2 of the 48" ones here, but rang up at $54. I couldn't find any of the smaller ones.

Checked Lowe's again today. The mgr of the department said they marked down the 24" levels yesterday and they went out the door really fast. They had no 48" levels to offer.

But... I found one 48" BBL48M level on the rack even though their inventory said they had a qty of -1. So they didn't even know they had it. I chatted with the guy for a while who called the store mgr over who said he will take no less than $25 for it. That's not as good as $13.99 but a good deal nonetheless, especially after my 5% discount for using the Lowe's card. So I did get the 4' level which will come in handy when I build a new deck and screened porch in the spring.

I bet if they had adjusted their inventory to +1 it would have popped up at the sale price.

The Lowes in Greer, SC had 1 48" and 1 24" left at close this evening, they were both marked down. Don't know if Greer is too far of a drive for you.

Went to 2 stores in Sacramento area and one wasn't on any sort of price reduction and the only only had the 24" on sale for $29 I think. I had them scanned just to be sure.

Thanks...but that scan is not large enough for them to read or me to print. I am particularly looking for a receipt for the 48" (the 24" would also be appreciated) in a high enough resolution to print out and take to the store.

48" is $38 and the 24" is $28 at the store in Carol Stream, Il. Only one of each on the shelf and I had the cashier scan them.

Same here in tampa, did one these :dunno: showing them the forum and they honored the price!

Several things though, I did go to customer service and explained other lowes had sold them at that price. When they do their search online they are not going to find it because they have been discontinued. Point out that they are no longer yellow and have switched to a grey color. Last ditch effort I jokingly threatened to not make me resort to hiding them behind the cleaning supplies and coming back in a month and asking for the same price. :lol_hitti

Definitely owe GJ a cyber beer!

Per your request. Unfortunately, I only have a receipt for Swanson 24" levels as the larger 48" was not discounted at the local Lowes.

Got the last 48" at my local Lowes for the $13.** price. Marked $38.** on the rack as a clearance price. The 24" were all gone and they were marked correctly at $9.** clearance on the rack.

I picked up a 48" IBX480 for 19.99. Not nearly as good as the OP's deal, but still about 15 cheaper than amazon for the same thing. Anyone found a few more of the pro-models at their local Lowe's?

Went to another lowes and they had the 24" marked at 9.99 but the 48" was still at $39.99. You got to go to customer service and speak with them. They will call the store manager not the department manager (who most of the time is into tools and wants to buy them for themself).

Today I picked up a 24" level at the Columbia SC Lowes. They had three there and would only drop the price to $21.50, so the other 2 were left on the rack.
This gives me the pair for $46 plus sales tax and the aggravation. Not a great deal, but better than paying $85+ for the pair. And they're really nice levels that should last me longer than I will ever need them.

You guys who picked up the pair for $24 really get my goat!

I was able to snag all 3 left (48") at the Lowes in Tomball (NW Houston). They had none of the 24". I am keeping one, giving one to a friend and have one left if someone in NW Houston want's it for $15.00 (It was $14.87 with tax). I live in Fairfield in Cypress and work at HP on 249 and Louetta. If any Garage Journal member that is near one of those 2 locations that was not able to get one, I have one for you. Just PM me and we can figure something out. I am not going to drive all around Houston so you would need to meet near Fairfield or HP.

The extra one I have has been sold to dirtydogintex. Glad I was able to help out a fellow Garage Journal member.

I checked two Lowes in the SF Bay Area, both had the levels in stock but not at the clearance prices. According to an employee I talked to the prices are set at the corporate level and they can not price match (I showed them the receipts from this thread). Their computer shows the items as no-stock (not to be restocked) and the price may very well drop at some point in the future to clear them out, but there is no way to know when that might occur.

Just visited three Lowes, and found the last 48 inch level for $13.74. Two of the lowes did not have the reduced price.
