Biscuits & gravy & coffee......mmmmmmmmm:drool:

BTW..nice tool haul. They almost look too clean for swap meet tools.

Scott

i was ready for a nap after we ate.

this guy had priced stuff so it would sell, just had containers with tools tossed in. everybody that walked by bought something. what was nice, for me anyway, he didnt have a bunch of "no name" china ****, and didnt want top dollar for what he did have.
i need moere tools like a need a hole in the head, but i couldnt pass it up. i got everything but the 2 ratchets for $4. 2 ratchets from another vendor were $14, still not a bad deal i think.
at least i got outta the house for a while :)

I run a swap meet the first Saturday of every month here in Georgia... maaaaan you should not only see some of the deals I've gotten, but the deals I've had to let go to someone else would break your heart!

Automotive swap meets are a killer place to get tools and shop equipment.

now that i am done house shopping i will start swap meet shopping.

Here's a tip for you--take a little note pad, and write down any socket and wrench sizes you need to complete or build sets.
I shopped a monthly swap meet in Floriduh for a year and put together duplicate sets for my tool box: 1/2-inch 6-point short and deep impact sockets, a set of 3/8-deep wells, and 1/4-inch deepwells.
Then I did a full set of combo wrenches for my travel box, a set of double box wrenches for the travel box, and just started buying every size wrench I could for the pegboard (taking note of the more odd-ball sizes... need need for 3 5/16 wrenches, but I have at least eight 1/2-inch and 9/16-inch wrenches).

I also put together a full set of Motors Manuals, being really picky when I shopped. Never paid more than $10 for a copy, and only bought really nice books--not torn up, no dog-eared pages, not bathed in grease. With the way the books overlap (seven year spans per book), I've got 1935 thru 1976 covered in five issues.

once i got most of my "home" tools back home and somewhat organized, i went through and figured out what was missing, and started spring cleaning in my service truck.
i loose tools in the wintertime mostly, usually falling out of my pockets, and by the time i realize it, it's too late
my last 2 Tool Hauls i picked up most of what i'm missing, and may add a few "new" tools to my collection, depending on what i find.
i went through every drawer, pulled out damaged stuff for warranty. and broken drills, taps, and extractors that need replacemnet.
it's been a few years since ive bought any "working" tools, for the most part the tool trucks dont exist around our shop, i may see a truck every 2-4 weeks. so the past few weeks they've been getting bombarded with warranty stuff thats been put aside/or replaced with another brand.
