I searched, but I couldn't find 'exactly' what the procedure was.
Thx

Im new here, and was curious as to why you'd like to switch the comfort soft gripe out for a hard grip? Not just go with the standard then.

If all goes well, she'll be quite beautiful

J13ntv: Don't get me wrong, the current rubber comfort grips are alright, BUT, it's a personal preference. Have you ever used an older S/O hard handled anything before? I've used and own numerous top quality branded pry bars and my Snap On black hard handled ones are by far, my favorite. The ergonomics are perfect! I hate the Mac one I have (Autozone style), I would never own the Matco "*****" shaped handled pry bars, and my Cornwell's are somewhat similar to Snap On's, but not 100%. I've owned a couple hard handled screwdrives before and some smaller torx drivers but would like to do the handle mod now for something unique. After a few solvent cleanses with sa newer style comfort grip, it'll pretty much start to 'dissolve'. doesn't take much to wear them.
I also own some non-handled, standard Dual 80 ratchets and like them too.
You really can't even compare leverage quality with a standard vs. hard handle.

put screwdriver in vise tip down, use 2 pry bars to remove handle, drill out handle to fit ratchet, I used jb weld to hold thing together.

Jeremy: are the shanks on the exposed screwdriver and ratchet similar at all once the handle is removed??? I've yet to see either side-by-side, but I believe I've seen pictures individually that show them both to be a long cylindrical type 'stem' with two little flanks sticking off of each side. Is this right or do only the screwdriver's resemble that?

The od of the screwdriver and the od of the ratchet are different. You will most likely need to drill out the hard handle. Do it in steps, it could crack if you go right at it with the bigger bit.
But this is such a hassle that I assure you you are better off selling me the screwdriver. I mean do you realize it's blue.:lol_hitti
