Hiyas, retired Navy here, settled in Thailand and now I am nearly finished building my new garage and am getting excited to start outfitting it with some new gear. I was researching about welding tables when I found this site. I wish I found it a few months ago before I started building though.

It started as a simple place to work on my Jeep and Datsun and morphed into a 1 bedroom apartment with a 6 or so car garage. I'll start a thread in the Garage Gallery and post some pics.

I noticed there are quite a few in MD, I grew up in Catonsville :rocker:

Welcome, living in Thailand, very interesting. Curious why you decided not to come back to the US and live after you retired from the Navy? I am guessing Thailand's low cost of living, and its tropical beauty makes this island nation a viable relocation destination.

Low cost of living is a big factor and I don't like cold weather. Also I'd be lying if I said the women didn't influence my decision.

So awesome. Thailand and a few other countries in that region are on my short list of places I want to see next. Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam too. But I'm not good with heat and humidity, so I need to travel carefully.

Make sure to include pics of you rides in your garage thread!

Some nice places to see there. I am about 100 km from the Laos border, come help me swap the engine in my Jeep then we can go for a road trip.
