Hi,
I started out to restore a 1939 Citroen B11 Commerciale in 1973. And had to build a garage to do it. I then bought a Citroen DS convertible and had to build a carport next to the garage. The police crashed into the DS and I lost it. Kept working on the Commerciale, but it was really slow. To participate in club meets I bought a 1939 Citroen 15-6. And I had to make the carport into a garage. After about six months the engine of the six-cylinder lost a main bearing. While the engine was out I planned to fix the engine compartment - and ended up with two dismantled cars.
At that point I change my job and moved north with two dismantled cars. And guess what - I had to build a garage. This time the 15-6 was actually finished.
Then I divorced and moved. And - sensation - had to build a garage. This time a real dream. My wife dreamed wishful dreams of the car burning down.
Divorce again. The 15-6 was sold. I got my Commerciale into a workshop with five other guys and restauration actually made great progress.
Then divorce again - this time to marry a high school friend living in PA.
The Commerciale is still back in Sweden. And there is no garage in this place.
Finding the Garage Journal has saved my day. It keeps my garage dreams alive.
