Sweet lights scored on the cheap

While scouring my local habitat for humanity I found exactly what I was looking for.
3 bulb t8 light fixtures
15 total
2x4 ft
$10 each
Needless to say I bought all 15, should light up my 30x40 nice

Those are nice . . . excellent score !! :thumbup:

Just went to basketball game at new high school gym and noticed they had 6 bulb version of yours. I counted the rows and there were 10 rows by 8 across so that's 80 fixtures x 6 bulbs = 480 bulbs. That was daylight bright gym on the cheap, electricity wise.

I'm going to put them up in 3 rows of 5 across my drop ceiling. These lights retail around 180 each, I have never been to habitat for humanity before but I will be back for sure

Those look like troffer lights. Just make sure they don't end up with any insulation on top of them, most are not rated for coverage with insulation. They are made for a drop in ceiling, such as in an office. Quite functional however.

Edit: missed your comment that you are using them in a drop in ceiling. Perfect that you found them then.

Check the ballasts, they may be 277 volts if they are older.
I got some from our local Habitat also- great lights.
