We have thought about the possibility of a indoor pool in the future. If I ever get to that point I have considered the use of Ozone and/or ultraviolet to keep it sanitized eliminating the use of chlorine all together. I haven't yet fully researched the indoor affects of the ozone (wouldn't think any worse then chlorine) but I would believe a small air make up unit in the area could reduce the effects.

ozone buildup in a non-ventalated area is a bad thing healthwise. I was looking at using a ozone generator to keep the water clean in an indoor pump testing rig and was advised not to by the manufacturer due to the health risks
