So my ADHD went a little into overdrive tonight and seein as I couldn't sleep anyways... ( Don't judge me ) I am realizing I may have a slight obsession beginning to rear it ugly head lol. Anybody else have a compulsion to buy old hammers? Lol

Ahh! That there, is the infamous chemically accelerated swingpress! Careful, they pack a kick! Lol it is an old rotating barrel pepperbox that was a basket case when I bought it. I finally got around to putting it together tonight. (I also have a thing for old, obscure firearms lol)

Looks like an impact socket on an old musket pistol. I was thinking an impact gun.:willy_nil

It's a good start.....

I've never seen a hammer I didn't like. Have a couple SS surgical ones.

I'll have to take a pic of my hammers, I need to build a rack for them as they are kind of placed in random spots...

In the mean time, I was cleaning some adjustable wrenches I got at a GS recently and realized I really need to stop buying them. It's just hard to say no when they are only like .50 or $1... lol

Mine aren't as old as yours... or as many... but I try to grab 'em cheap at sales if I don't already have one of a particular style...

I think the 16oz Estwing is my go-to for general stuff... For more umph I usually use the Kobalt 4lb blacksmith hammer... But lately I've been grabbing that smaller engineer's hammer next to it, I think it's either 2 or 3 lbs...

The sledges are 10lb/8lb/6lb... and the one missing the handle I think is a 5lb... I get a lot of use out of the 8lb with the hammer handle...

Okay, so I got a little sidetracked cleaning my garage... I was inspired by Thumper's hammer rack and I threw together something similar out of some scrap pieces of wood I had laying around. Basically some 2x6 ends and a pair of 1-1/4" dowel rods across. At first I was worried about it sticking off the end of my workbench, but then realized my trashcan is always there so unless I want to walk into my trashcan I'll never hit the rack.

Freed up so much room on my pegboard! Also now I don't have to shuffle around hammers to get to the one I want to use.

Have a little extra room to collect a few more. ;)

I have a small collection of BRASS hammers hanging on display in the party garage along with a bunch of wood handled wrenches and screw drivers and a few brass wrenches to round out the display
