Hi All,

Really debating using swisstrax floor mainly to handle water so we can walk/use the garage and not always be stepping in a puddle.

How is the transition from the smooth to the or flat floor trax? (non vented style) I use jackstands and get down on the floor enough that i think the ribtrax would be uncomfortable.

I havent seen many comments about the smooth ribtrax so i figured i'd start here.

Thanks!

The transition from all the styles is smooth. The height of the surfaces are the same, so there are no issues with rolling jacks, tool boxes, and other items from one transition to the next.

I can state from much experience that Ribtrax or free-flow type of designs are hard on the knees. It's not bad to lay on when working on cars, but the solid top tiles are much easier on the knees and more comfortable when maneuvering around on your back. If you like the style of the Ribtrax, there are comfortable pads available from Amazon that are oil resistant. You just toss them down on the floor to kneel on.

Here's and example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WN8M3AW/?tag=atomicindus08-20
