In my house I have an addition which use to be the main building, in this part there is an old fuse panel box my question is can this fuse box be swapped out with a circuit box of the same size ( 100 Amp )

Please share more details on why you are unsure.

Yes, broadly, a fuse box can be swapped for a breaker panel as the entire old panel will be removed and replaced.

You hiring this out?

Yes it can however, you will probably need to replace the feeder as well. The neutral bar is probably bonded and the feeder is probably 3-wire.

Can you take some pics of the fuse panel with the cover on and off and post them here.

Im not following this. You said its a addition. Then you said it used to be the main building. Wouldn't the addition come after the main building. We are just trying tofigure out if this is a sub or main panel. We need pics
