Symmetrical lift placement with shallow bay!

Installing a TMG tpl45 10k symmetrical 2 post lift in my garage. Unfortunately the bay is only 23' deep. I will be lifting mostly cars and full size suv's occasionally.

In my last garage at my old house I installed a asymmetrical lift in a 19' deep bay positioned 10.5' off the shop door with a lot of planning and it worked out great for my old cars, since I had room in the front for engine work and very little at the rear.

I'm hoping somebody with a symmetrical lift and a full aize suv such as a yukon xl, suburban, expedition or excursion can throw it on their lift and do some measurements for me.. barely a 1 beer job! I'd love to know the measurement from the centre of post to front of vehicle and centre of post to rear of vehicle. A full size crew cab pickup would work asell.

My rough thought is to mount it approximately 10' from the door but I haven't actually had time to move the vehicles around and take measurements.

Any input? Bolting this thing down tomorrow! Thanks

What did you end up doing? I'm in a similar position now. My 9k symetrical Atlas lift will be here this week and I'm planning the layout. My garage is only 20'8" deep. The largest thing I'll put on it is a Yukon, but something that big will be rare. There may be times I lift a SWB single cab p/u. I'm thinking of installing it 10' off of the front wall. That puts the lift about in the middle of the space.
