T-Stat for 5kW Heater?

I have an electric heater (17,065 btu, 240v, 21 Amps, 5000w) that keeps my garage at 50F on its lowest setting. I'd like to be able to lower the temp a little bit, about to 40-45F, as well as have easier access to change the temp. Now the built-in t-stat, on face of unit, is 7ft off the floor.

I'm not very knowledgeable on this subject and have searched around to no avail. Can anyone direct me to a wall mounted thermostat that would work with this application? I've seen circular style thermostats on other hanging electric heaters. Is that something that would work here?

You could also purchase a minimum 22A relay with a 24v transformer, and then you can use basically any thermostat you would use in your house. I'm sorry I don't know of any distributors for this though.
