T1710 & t1715

Hello, I'm interested in purchasing some Klein ratcheting crimpers. The two I'm inquiring about are T1710 & T1715. Klein website does have some description but I'm looking for more info & input. What the main difference between the two? What am I missing out on if I get the 1715 instead of the 1710? Does the 1710 have bits that change out? What are the bits & what do they do? Does the 1710 do things I'm needing it for? I'm an electrician & want a quality crimper. My work mostly deals with the red blue & yellow size connectors. Just looking for some input. Thanks

The 1715 is basically just a hand crimper with the ratchet feature. The 1710 is a mil-spec version and pretty much guarantees a good crimp if the tool is properly adjusted and the terminals are inserted correctly, before crimping. You can get decent crimps out of both, but if you want uniformity, spring for the 1710's. As a sparky, it would be a worthwhile investment.
