i have a bunch of those outdoor floodlights that use 500 watt halogen T3 bulbs. (maybe 1000 watt? dont seem to be replacement bulbs available over 500 watt.)

aaaannnnnnyyyyywwwwwwwaaaaaayyyyyy they are getting long in the tooth, and are looking pretty ragged. i was considering replacing them with LED fixtures.

has anyone gone down this path who would like to share their experiences/recommendations?

they seem to vary in price from 40-200$, but none of them are brands i am familiar with.

thanx.

I put 3 x 100 watt LED (500 watt halogen equivalent) flood lights on the front of my shop. They were from Amazon at about $50 each, I did have one fail about 9 months after purchase and the seller promptly replaced it free of charge. They are crazy bright, I would love to have them all around my house. The brand is Lepower I think, the picture was taken from the door of the shop house is about 50 yards away. The flood lights light up my master bath through that little transom window that is above my shower when I turn them on.

I just have led floodlights purchased from Costco and they’ve been great. They’ve been on for over two years with no issue.
