T5ho heat

Hello, I am planning on installing 3 Two bulb t5ho lights in a small room, about 7x7. Right now the temperature in there is right at 60F. Will the temperature go up a few degrees to help warm the room up? I will be installing some foam board in there to help insulate.

I am sure you are thinking that is a lot of light in a small room, it will be for starting vegetable seedlings in a hydroponic system for the garden in the spring. Thanks, Brad

Every time you add wattage, you get btu's. Those fixtures will add a small amount, but won't greatly add to the ambient temp.

If you're talking about the 54w T5/HO lamps, each fixture (lamps + ballast) uses approx. 120w each x 3 = 360 watts total.

You are not in Colorado so you can get caught and put in jail for what you are growing there. See google on grow houses. Mike Holmes had a total redo of one house the owners rented to drug heads.

Thanks, but vegetables are not illegal in Ohio. I am setting up a system like the following, just not as large.
