so i got my t72 rebuilt yesterday on the snap on truck and i didnt use it after that. today i went to use it and i couldnt get a socket on it. WTF i tried to tap it on and nothing. i tried to push the detent in with my mini driver and nothing. i grabbed some cobra pliers and nothing. i put it in my vise and it still wouldnt push in. this thing is stuck really good. anyone else ever have this problem?

obviously im going to have it repaired again but that means i have to wait a week for the truck to come around again.

Just on an old 710 half inch SnapOn. Detent ball would NOT go in. Put a kit in it and it's fine.
Think your gonna have to wait.

You don't want to let the dealer know you don't trust his workmanship or the quality of his products right off the bat ... that's something you want to do discretely. :D

You know thats pretty sad, getting a defective rebuild kit. Makes you wonder about how much else is slipping through the system.

Merk one would think that you, of all people, would want to touch as much as possible on the truck.

So, I am curios why you had the ratchet rebuilt; did you actually kill or break a 1/4" dual 80 ratchet? Everyone acts like they are bullet proof; I'm sure they break at some point! Did yours?

good question. What part of the ratchet was actually broken?

that is what we would call "********" in the UK.
Pick up a socket, whup it on and swing it around. Where's the mistrust in that?
