T8 Bulbs Made In ? [Litetronics & Others]

I'm about to pull the trigger on 5 cases of L-359 bulbs, but will look for another 5000k CRI90 high lumen bulb if I come to find they are made in China. Anyone know where Litetronics T8s are made?

Litetronics is a off breed brand so I would guess they are ChiCom.

Even name brand bulbs of various types are made in China. Looking for info on Litetronics T8s specifically. If anyone knows of other T8 brand manufacturing locations please post.

I've seen evidence of T8 manufacturing all over the world. Haven't seen specific Litetronics T8 information. Only know they are based in Illinois and manufacture products out of China, India and Japan. Guess I will have to call them tomorrow...

Among the lighting products sold by Litetronics are 700 and 800 series T8
GSFLs, which are produced for Litetronics on a contract basis by manufacturers located in
China, Germany, and South Korea. These T8 lamps are sold by Litetronics under the company’s private label.

Philips manufactures T8s in the USA.

I bought some really cheap 4 foot T8s, about 11 bucks for a case of 20 from Menards. So far they work just fine. Some have been in use for over a year. There's no recognizable brand name on the box.

Got it straight from the horses mouth. Litetronics T8s are manufactured in China. I didn't bother to ask about other Litetronics products.

I believe GE makes T8 lamps in either Canada or the US, and Sylvania makes them in the US as well.

Sylvania makes T8s here. I bought the cheap brand at Menards a year or so ago that are also USA-made, they're Buyer's Choice or something. I don't see that brand there any more however.

I just bought some high output sylvania's from Menards and they were made in Canada.

I've had good luck with Ushio T8 lamps in my kitchen. Made in Germany.

GE makes them in OH after closing the Oakville ON plant.

I'm going to **** it up and support our USA manufacturing plants. Double the cost, but I bet they are triple the quality of Litetronics.

^ ^ ^ ^ +1 that Phillips makes bulbs in USA in Salina, KS.

I've driven by the plant many times. Plant is visible from Interstate highway.

I only buy Phillips & Sylvania (Osram Sylvania) lamps, will buy GE if the price is really good but since had 7 bum GE lamps in 1 case, my opinion is to avoid them.
