T8 Troubleshoot...

I just installed six Lithonia High Bay T8 4' fixtures from Home Depot. Wouldn't you know one of the fixtures has two bulbs that barely light up. The other 5 fixtures are working beautifully and give off a lot of light.

I checked the bulbs and they are good. All my connections seem in order. Is this a sign of a bad ballast? The other four bulbs light up just fine. It's just the number 2 and 4 that are very dim.

Any ideas?

The are mounted 16' off the floor so taking it down is a real PITA.

Yeah, looks like I'm going to have to **** it up and switch it out with a new one.

Your connections are fine,one of their's likely is not.Check the crappy push in connections at the sockets,one of them is likely not pushed in all the way.

Finally sucked it up and climbed back up there to swap the light out with a new one. Worked just fine. Returned the bad one to HD.

I have six in a 20' x 50' bay and the light is great. Overall I'm very pleased. Hopefully they hold out for a long time and I won't have to climb back up there anytime soon!
