I noticed that my saw's arbor has some side to side play so I took it out and measured it. I noticed a maximum side movement of 0.004".

It's a craftsman 113 10". Is this something that I need to address or is this play okay? I installed new bearings and everything seemed to fit tightly. The shaft's runout was only .001".

I wouldn't worry, most of my blades have that much wobble.

Gotta remember, wood moves. So no matter how accurately you cut it, someday it will be wrong.

There may be a bearing locknut under the cover on the left side which can be used to adjust the end play. Four thou isn't bad though.
