I've scrapped the previous owner's bench in my workshop and am ready to start anew. Does anyone have any examples/plans of a workbench (MODULAR OR OTHERWISE) that incorporates a table saw, sliding compound miter saw and router all in one?

Thanks so much. I don't really want to build three separate workstations, and I believe that these three can live in harmony on the same worktop/workbench.

This is what I have, you could put the miter saw where my jointer is. Large sheets of plywood might necessitate you removing the miter saw.

Import one of these from Europe.

And then jam a router bit through the table elsewhere.

There are legions of multi-tool workstations out on the InterWebz, some even come with cat commentary. That said, incorporating a SCMS into the same workstation as a tablesaw is a very tricky proposition. The SCMS must be either removable or you'll need to be able to flip it out of the way. Otherwise, it will interfere with some cuts on the TS or your workstation will have to be huge, which is likely to be the opposite of your intention.

I would suggest putting the router in one wing of the station, the TS in the middle, and the SCMS in the other wing. One thing about doing this is you'll need to come up with some support to one side for long pieces on the SCMS. The other side will be supported by the tablesaw/router table tops.

Table saw and router/shaper table makes scenes to me.
Not sure I really see the compound miter being part of it unless you can make it so the mite box will fold/flip down.
Most of the time I just set my miter box on the table saw when I need to use it

How about a shopsmith, lathe, table saw, shaper, router, jointer, band saw, disc sander, belt sander, vertical/horizontal drill, polisher, jigsaw, grinder, buffer, paint sprayer and more! Granted you need to hunt down the add ons to take full advantage. It is somewhat annoying having to plan out all the cuts you need with one tool before reconfiguring to the next.. It will get many jobs done with one tool. They won't take up much space and can be found for a fraction of the price used with little use.

Here's a commercial version that seems pretty trick to me. Check out out some of the connected videos.

I just watched that Paula video and while it looks way slick and weep thought out I about feel asleep while he was setting up. The PCW cart in the about link is already set up and on wheels if you have the corner to store it in.

Plus storage!!
